Students' Perceptions of Online Learning Experiences for ESL Speaking Activities

Performing speaking tasks via online learning can be challenging for first-year university students. This quantitative study explored the students' perceptions of experiences, challenges, and strategies in implementing English activities. 127 out 315 students responded to questionnaire, which involved asking information on backgrounds, platforms, adoption difficulties learning. The findings reveal that while most have positive platforms English-speaking tasks, a small percentage them still prefer physical classroom Nevertheless, lecturers' prompting ideas, questions, exploring creative ideas activities successfully met needs.
